Thor De Force is the solo project of guitarist and producer Thor Madsen. Born in Chicago in 1968 and raised in Denmark, Madsen creates nu-funk future-jazz music blending live instruments with electronic elements. Signed to Philadelphia-based label Ropeadope, he has released albums including "Sounds Of The Mansion" (2019) and "The Build" (2020). He began the project in 2008, with the name coined by writer John Farris.
