Kashif Saleem (born Michael Jones, December 26, 1956 – September 25, 2016) was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. A pioneer in urban music, he was renowned for his innovative use of synthesizers and MIDI technology. His solo hits include "I Just Gotta Have You (Lover Turn Me On)," "Stone Love," and "Help Yourself to My Love." As a producer, he created hits for Whitney Houston, Kenny G, George Benson, and Evelyn "Champagne" King. He earned six Grammy nominations and was inducted into the R&B Hall of Fame in 2004.
