Blind Lemon Pledge is the stage name of James Byfield, a Bay Area blues poet and roots music savant. He discovered pre-War Country Blues in his early teens, with influences from Blind Lemon Jefferson, Son House, and Skip James. After a career in graphic design, Byfield transitioned to music full-time in 2008, creating the Blind Lemon Pledge persona. His first album "Livin' My Life With The Blues" launched a critically acclaimed career spanning acoustic blues, Americana, and roots music with chart-topping international recognition.
