Dr. Wu' is a Texas blues project formed in 2002 by band mates Jim Ashworth and Bryan Freeze in Fort Worth, Texas. The name was taken from a favorite Steely Dan song. They set out to record their "Texas Blues" Project, featuring guest appearances by top Fort Worth musicians including Buddy Whittington (John Mayall's Bluesbreakers), Stephen Bruton (Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt), Red Young (Eric Burden & The Animals), and James Pennebaker. Their albums include "Texas Blues Project Vol. 1" (2007) featuring the track "Storm Watch Warning." They perform regularly at venues across Texas.
